LESANZ-WA welcomes you to a breakfast to hear from international IP strategist and litigation advisor, Evgeny Taranda about identifying IP and business strategies to get strong IP, conducive of successful enforcement, licencing and extracting maximum value in the global market.

Evgeny will speak about his own experiences with IP litigation and strategy for various start-ups, and lessons learned from his work with companies such as Amazon, Bayer, HP and Samsung among others. We will review trends in patent protection and enforcement in the US and discuss the similarities (and differences) with Australia.

Please join us to learn from Evgeny’s first-hand experience, and take the opportunity to ask questions and network with him and some of WA’s leading IP professionals and participants in the innovation and business community.

Speaker Profile:

Evgeny first became involved in the start-up sector in 1999 with the launch of Safeclick, for which he later became the President. In 2003, Evgeny led the enforcement of Safeclick’s patent rights against financial giants VISA and MasterCard, emerging successful and establishing himself as a specialist in the IP enforcement and strategy arena. Evgeny is currently employed as a specialist advisor with US based trial law firm Bartlitt Beck, representing some of the most prominent U.S. and global companies.
