Richard is a recent arrival from DLA Phillips Fox, where he worked as a Senior Associate for 5 years. Prior to that, Richard was a lawyer in the United Kingdom, where he left a partnership to start his own legal practice.

Richard’s field is commercial and property.

Richard has dealt with a number of business sales and acquisitions, including:

  • Hotel in Northbridge
  • Car sales dealership in Albany
  • A series of mechanical engineering businesses
  • Signage group of companies
  • Mortgage Broking business
  • Marine consultancy

He has also been involved in due diligence for the acquisition of businesses.

He has also provided advice on a variety of commercial contracts, ranging from service contracts from BHP Billiton to mining contracts to intellectual property licences to contracts for the manufacture of portable homes to a new franchise for private real estate sales.

He has been involved in both the due diligence and acquisition of property in the CBD, greenfield sites outside the metropolitan area for industrial development (including for a power station) and pastoral leases.

He has also acted for the landlords of a number of commercial complexes, including:

  • St Martins Tower
  • Mundaring Village Shopping Centre
  • Mirrabooka Commercial Centre
  • Thornlie Square
  • Rockingham Cinema Complex

Richard also gives advice to tenants.

Richard also provides estate planning and business succession advice, including Wills.

He has also acted in a number of applications for probate.
